He preferred my then 'best friend' to me!
In the long run it was all for the best but hurt like hell at the time!

i'm in a relationship now and its my first serious one.
she keeps telling me that she's scared because she believes i'll eventually get bored with her and start wondering how it feels like with other women.
so she wants me to hook up with other girls when she goes out of the country for the fall semester.. personally i dont want to, but this is making me wonder, in the average person's first ,serious relationship, whats the cause of the breakup?

i'm not but i bet that there are some that quiety worry about it.....what about you?
?
Not now, but after I left I was a bit scared. I felt that I would only be able to relax when there were no people around who had seen 1914.
As a poster said earlier the most likely damage to the Earth will be done by man himself, not by any God.

my anxiety and stress levels are really bad lately.
i think i'd be doing myself a favor to quit caffeine, as it has become a real catch-22 for me, where i need it to stay awake, but it causes me to lose sleep, so i need more of it to stay awake, etc.. i've learned through experience that i'm very sensitive to any sort of chemical substance that affects neurotransmitter flow, and, given my general propensity towards depression/anxiety/paranoia/add, i think that at least one thing i could do to give me a calmer, more stable neurotransmitter mix would be to eliminate caffeine.
i've tried to reduce before, and i've found that i just start making excuses to have a little more, a little more, until i'm right back where i started.. so, i'm just wondering if anybody else has had a similar experience where they felt the need to not just reduce but eliminate caffeine altogether, and if so, how did it go, did it help, how long has it been, etc.
I'm not a coffee drinker, but I've stopped putting sugar tea in my tea if that counts!

Don't despair - there are many people out there who think that they have left it too late to further their education. Higher education is my line of work and what has emerged is a change in the student population. There are now more mature students than ever, and many institutions also recognise that they require extra help and support.
Education isn't just for the 'young' - older students really add a lot to the class in terms of their wisdom and experience. The 'young' students are also very accepting - both groups can learn from each other. Give it a go - you don't want to be sitting in a few years time being eaten away by regrets at what could have been. Adopt the life long learning philosophy - there are plenty of educational advisors out there who can point you in the right direction - or even ask to visit the college/uni whatever to get a better feel for what will suit you.
As other posters have said - you can really benefit from challenging your mind and there are always new friends to make, so all in all it's a worthwhile experience. Wishing you well in your search.

i'm afraid i am.
it is in my nature to expect everyone to act in the best interests of everyone else.
i never expect that others will intentionally cause harm to another in a willfull and malisious act.
Definitely not I'm afraid - I have a good old Scottish cynical streak. I once read somewhere that a cynic is really a crushed romantic!
I think it comes from realising that not everyone will make the same effort or have the same standards as yourself. Dissapointment breeds cynicism in my view.

i just got this email at my work email address:.
to whom it may concern,.
let us inform you that mns, inc starts a new project in the usa .
Yes - this looks like a scam. Asking for your CV will be to get your address details and no doubt further communication would ask for your bank details so that you would get your 'wages'. No way would a professional HR dept. recruit at random.
I think people have got wise to the old 'need your account to dump billions into' so they have to try and rework it. Wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.

maybe this has already been posted or you're familiar with it but i just discovered this on itunes.
it's being sold on itunes.. the subject matter alone is enough to make you want to barf but get a load of the music and singing talent on this little gem.
a couple of the tracks landed in an imix of the worst music on itunes.
A waste of good guitar strings.
